My 1600 runs fine, only time it it surges a bit is on cold days, at low speeds, until it fully warms up.I had a random starting problem recently. It will start to drop, but should level off at a value of 12v or higher. If it continues to sink and goes below 12v, battery is kaput. 6. If battery passes test, start bike and continue monitoring. 7. Voltage should jump up. 8. Rev bike up to about 2500rpm and voltage should be about 14.5v.On the pump harness, connect black and black/yellow together and put to 12v. 2. Connect green to ground. 3. Pump should run. Turn the key on and both oil and fi lights are solid red. Try to start it and it when it turns over the oil light goes off and the fi light stays solid.
